South India · Temple origin
The grace of Bharatanatyam, taught with devotion.
The geometry, rhythm, and devotion of South India’s classical dance tradition.

“Natya is worship in motion.”

The Tradition
A living art, carried from the temple to your home
Bharatanatyam is one of the oldest classical dance forms in the world — a precise language of rhythm (nritta), expression (abhinaya), and devotion. Born in the temples of Tamil Nadu, it was danced as an offering long before it became a stage art.
At Lāsyamṛta, we teach it the way it was meant to be learned: slowly, personally, and with reverence for its lineage — each adavu, each mudra, passed hand to hand.
